Outdoor guides for an active life

SurfingJust the other day I wrote about city guides, today I´m writing about guide books for surfing and snowsports. Wavefinder is the name of the world´s leading publisher of surfing, ski, snowboarding and kiteasurfing and their guides are truly unique. Just a little bit bigger than your mobile phone they fit in your back pocket and they are essential for anyone who visits the ocean or the mountains to take part in their favourite sports.

My colleague Jakob lived in Australia for two years and he worships these books. He gurantees they show you every bit of detail you need to get you to the surf or the powder fast.

You can either buy the books through Wavefinders online shop or in all good surf, outdoor and book stores in Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand, USA, UK and Europe.

Wallpaper city guides are compiled by the magazine´s travel experts, both by in-house editors and correspondents who actually live in the highlighted cities. Buy them here or in a store near you.

Africa Lonely Planet releases the Africa Book at the end of September to celebrate that it's 30 years since their first book was launched about Africa. The new Africa book will not be a "Africa on a shoestring"-guide, but more of a book that you read at home and with lots of beautiful pictures and travel memories from South Africa.
